A still image of the ocean is repeated horizontally to fill the frame, creating a long horizon. Using post-production techniques, the pixilated image is animated and paired with the sound of crashing waves.

As the camera (situated in the floor of a volcano) pans the horizon line, the image moves clockwise from one monitor to the next. The only way to ‘take in’ the view in its entirety is to enter the circle of monitors and move with the image.
